Public Notice for 2025 Proposed DAQ Legislative Rules

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Air Quality (DAQ) has scheduled a public hearing for its 2025 proposed legislative rules to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. The public hearing will be held virtually. Instructions for participating and for providing oral comments are provided in the public notice. The public comment period begins July 5, 2024, and ends at the conclusion of the public hearing on August 6, 2024. Written comments may be submitted at any time during the public comment period as instructed in the public notice and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 6, 2024. Both oral and written comments will be made part of the rulemaking record. Comments received after the conclusion of the public comment period will not be accepted.

    To participate online or by telephone, registration is required by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. To register to speak, please indicate “yes” you want to provide verbal comments on the record when you register. A confirmation e-mail will be sent with your responses when you register and information on how to join the public hearing will be sent after registration closes on August 6, 2024.

Division of Water & Waste Management

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP), Division of Water & Waste Management (DWWM), has scheduled a public hearing for its 2025 proposed legislative rules on Thursday, August 15, 2024 starting at 5​ p.m. at WVDEP Headquarters in Charleston, W.Va.

The hearing will be held in the Coopers Rock Conference Room at WVDEP Headquarters located at 601 57th St. S.E., Charleston, WV 25304. The room is located in the rear of the building and parking is available.

Both oral and written comments will be made part of the rulemaking record. The public comment period ends at 5 p.m. on August 17, 2024. Comments received after the conclusion of the public comment period cannot not be accepted.

Written comments may be submitted via email to DEPComments@wv.gov with "Proposed DWWM 2025 Rule Comments" in the subject line. Hard copies can be mailed to the attention of Terry Fletcher at the WVDEP, Public Information Office, 601 57th Street SE, Charleston, WV 25304.
