40CFR63, Subpart JJJJJJ, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Area Sources: Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Boilers (Area Source Boiler NESHAP) Reference Materials

EPA proposed the Area Source Boiler NESHAP on June 4, 2010, which establishes the date after which a source that commenced construction or reconstruction is considered to be new (rather than existing). Fuel switching after June 4, 2010, constitutes a change significant enough to trigger new source status for the boiler. May 20, 2011 is the effective date of the rule. Please be aware this rule is currently under reconsideration.
