Public Meeting on Water Quality Standards Set for Nov. 15

 

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s (WVDEP) Water Quality Standards Program will hold a quarterly meeting on Tuesday, November 15, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The public meeting will be held at WVDEP headquarters in Charleston at 601 57th Street SE.

The focus of this quarterly meeting will be on West Virginia’s Nutrient Criteria Development Plan prepared earlier this year, review of 2016 statewide algae monitoring, and an update on proposed changes to West Virginia’s Water Quality Standards (WQS) rule (47 CSR 2) for the 2017 Triennial Review.
