WVDEP Holding Public Meeting on Water Quality Standards June 13

 

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s (WVDEP) Water Quality Standards Program will hold its quarterly public meeting on Tuesday, June 13.

The meeting will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at WVDEP headquarters in Kanawha City at 601 57th Street SE.

WVDEP representatives will discuss the outcome of the 2017 Legislative session with respect to Water Quality Standards, including statutory changes considered by Legislature involving harmonic mean and overlapping mixing zones. WVDEP also invites members of the public to present information in regard to any desired changes to West Virginia’s Water Quality Standards (WQS) rule (47 CSR 2).
