DEP to Hold Public Meeting For Elk Valley Pet Crematorium

 

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, to provide information regarding Elk Valley Pet Crematorium, LLC’s air quality permit application. Elk Valley has proposed to construct and operate a small animal crematory at Elk Hills Memorial Park, U. S. 119 North, Big Chimney, Kanawha County.

The public meeting will be held at the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Headquarters, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, West Virginia, at 6 p.m. Representatives from the DAQ will conduct the meeting regarding the construction application submitted by Elk Valley Pet Crematorium, LLC on July 5, 2016.

The application, interim permit review documents, engineering evaluation/fact sheet and draft permit can be downloaded at:

Comments on the proposed application will be accepted until the end of the public meeting.
