A member
of the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s (WVDEP) Youth
Environmental Program (YEP) is hosting a series of workshops to provide
resources and train educators in conservation-based STEM principles.
The Putnam
Area Robotics Team (PARTs) has developed a curriculum that combines STEM
programs such as For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology
(FIRST), FIRST Lego League (FLL) and FLL Junior, with the 4H program, Junior
Master Gardener, with the hopes of educating teachers and administrators about
conservation and getting this curriculum into their classrooms.
The
workshops are set to reach all 55 counties by May 2020. To learn more, click here.
